On the walls, in the corners, above your head, even in the staircase—art is everywhere at Capital C. And that’s no coincidence. It reflects our mission: to make the world a more creative place.
At Capital C, we believe creativity isn’t some mysterious gift you’re either born with or not. Creativity is a blend of intelligence, dedication, humour, social skills, courage—and sometimes, just dumb luck. It lives in everyone. You just need to dare to unlock it.
That’s why we proudly showcase the work of Dutch artists, from the well-known to the up-and-coming, throughout our building. Not only in our not-so normal-hallway-gallery but right in the middle of everyday life—next to desks, in our event spaces, restaurant and meeting rooms.
By embedding art into our daily surroundings, we hope to spark something in everyone who walks through our doors. Maybe a big idea, maybe just the start of one. Because every creative journey starts somewhere. And who knows, maybe yours starts here.
12TH OF MARCH 2026 – ONWARDS
My work documents moments from my relationship with my girlfriend. Through painting, I capture our shared experiences—from everyday situations to stylised scenes inspired by film stills. This series explores themes such as intimacy, coming of age, and the discipline that comes with being in a relationship.
During my residency at the Rijksakademie, my style has become softer, partly because I’m now painting a woman I love deeply. My fascination with cinema is reflected in works based on film fragments, where my girlfriend and I collaborate on the styling to recreate certain moments. Other paintings are simply spontaneous snapshots of real moments.
Close-up works reflect my experience with ADD: a tendency to focus intensely on small details rather than the bigger picture. These paintings show how my attention can be drawn to seemingly insignificant elements, like a tiny piece of fabric or a single blade of grass.
This series is a visual account of our relationship and my personal growth—the transition from boyhood to manhood through our “being in love.
